The winery Benedetič is located on the fringe of Goriška Brda, in Western Slovenia, bordering the Italian wine-growing area of Collio where the rolling-hill landscape of the “Brda” slowly meets the lowlands of the Friuli plain.

The knowledge of winegrowing and winemaking has been handed down from generation to generation at the Benedetič’s ever since 1923, when Valentin Keber and his son in law Andrej Benedetič purchased 2 hectares of vineyards – bearing the name Brgalotišče  from the bankrupt count Teuffenbach.

We respect the tradition and the effort of our ancestors while following state of the art trends in wine making and cultivation in general.

A number of vineyards spreading through the terroir Vipolže rounds up the Benedetič family estate.

Selecting the grapevine variety to a particular location, microclimate and soil characteristics is inevitable and allows to Benedetič winery to produce in individual vintages from vineyards and wine only the best.
